The sun is shining with just a few puffy bright white clouds streaking the sky. BUT (we know what that means) there’s rain in the forecast and likely not just for an evening. Could well be a couple of day of it. Oh Joy!
I haven’t planted the tomato plants yet. It’s a combination of two factors-1) with all the space for a garden that I have (chuckle) it’s important WHERE I plant them so it works out for additional planting as the season goes along AND 2) it gives the plants a chance to acclimate to the general location where they’ll be growing. My thinking is that one shock at a time is enough –that may come from life experiences rather than gardening though. I haven’t found the right container to start my cucumber seeds yet- I’d better step that process up a bit. Our eggs don’t come in the old fiber containers anymore but I may just shop around for a different vendor for a dozen eggs.
We had fun garage sale’ing Sat. morning. I scored a bunch of good stuff and didn’t buy a couple of things that I really should have. Ain’t that like life.
One item I scored will soon be headed for some form of cyber commerce – a 30qt. propane cooker with basket and drain tap.

Good for deep frying A LOT of stuff or making a LOT of about anything except for maybe concrete or the like. The original sales sticker is on it – On Sale for $69.95 from $119.00. This one doesn’t appear to have been opened. I'll check that theory out today. What I really wanted was some stuff that was on top of the box. An apparatus to go on my barrel cooker spit to do about anything that can be stuck on one of 5 skewers and the entire this then rotates. Plus some extra items for the spit. When I asked the price the seller said it was for all the stuff- Ready for this $2.00.
