The News From Here

As of yesterday noon our colored cloths were all clean. That, my friends, was no small matter. Admittedly the majority of the actual labor was done by machine- a machine that is rated for 60 pounds of wash. I’m pretty sure I was a little short but not by too much. 5 driers concluded the mechanized portion of the project. I had staged the driers so that it all wasn’t finished exactly at the same time. Empty the drier and lay out the cloths to avoid wrinkles repeat the process while folding cloths till the next drier finished. At least it’s FAST. About 21/2 hours including travel time had it all home and stowed away. There’s 2 hampers of whites to do but NOT today. All this laundry stuff has two sources- changing to winter wardrobe and laundering the summer bedding. There Now- you know more about our laundry situation than you ever cared to know. For an afternoon project I FINISHED (for now) the bar cleaning. What was left you asked? (I’m almost sure I heard you ask) Mop the floor and some small tasks like that. I was all ready to call it time to enjoy the place and not mess with it till a while later. We had a coupon of significant value for a new Oriental Buffet. Two all you can handle dinner meals with one bottle of beer with the end cost being $11. Where was I now? Oh Yah- we were a few minutes early for the appointed “dinner” hour and it was just across the walk from a large party supply store. Normally I was wonder the isles and be amazed at the junk that folks can and do buy and actually enjoy the “looking.” This time I was what I think is just want I wanted but didn’t know it. Large 1’ tall cut out musical notes. What ever for you ask? (there I go again, hearing voices) Hey there’s still SOME wall and ceiling space showing in the bar. It’s a LOT easier than taking everything down and painting!
