Cooking for the partners turned out surprising. With only 12 in attendance an incredible amount of groceries disappeared. Some, but not much went home in care bags. Bill provided cured and then smoked pork chops and a taste of his home made beef summer sausage. I did one of my best pork loins plus deep fried breaded loins for sandwiches. No one elected to put them on bums. All in all I’d declare it a success. I have some breaded chops left to deep fry or get frozen- I don’t know how that would work out but probably worth the try. I’ll admit I’m not too spry this morning and sure glad I only have to clean up the deep fryer and a little pickup to call the project complete. Another of these events is scheduled for later in the month for Shorty’s sister in law’s birthday. All I’ll be involved in is the meat preparation then.
It was nice visiting with Shorty’s son and girl friend. It’s been at least a year since we saw them. Shorty’s bro left his GPS for me figure out. Never having handled one or even pursued an interest in them that might prove interesting.
I’m waiting for it to warm up a bit before I tackle the little cleanup I need to get done.
