Would you believe that I just got busy and forgot about “The News?” I had things I wanted to get done and I think they ARE done to the extent that I wanted. Oh Darn now I have to look elsewhere for meaningful activity that doesn’t require getting material or supplies nor excessive labor (chuckle).
Sounds like the entire Illinois branch of the clan either has just been sick or is just getting sick. Thoughts and prayer for them all is a Given.
It seems that Military activity has increased in the Southwest. In the past we rarely had Military aircraft intruding on our peace and quiet. Now it’s fairly often- I’m really not complaining but it does bring to mind unpleasantness. There are millions of folks around the world that those sounds would immediately cause them to run for cover and wonder where all their loved ones are. They cause me to wonder how it will be before our apologizing ignorant [ I’d best stop them ] administration will create such conditions here.
On to happier note G#
I have two cucumber plants above ground! I hope there are at least a couple more ready to poke their little heads out and face the world. I’d really like to try some pickling this year.

Hum Maybe I should put in a Jalapeño plant just to kick up a recipe or two. Nah they’re really cheap here especially in season. Pickling cucumbers are NEVER cheap here and rarely available. I ready to plat my two Heirloom tomato plats as they have been in their containers for several days now, sitting in the location I intend them to be. I got them directly from the hot house so when I mentioned letting them acclimate and nursery manager said that’s probably a good idea. One shock at a time is enough for any one- Or thing.

Shady Lady is one of the plants. They are supposed to have giant leaves that protect the fruit from excess sunlight- a good thing here. The other is a Purple tomato. It’s the first year that the nursery has grown either so they couldn’t provide much in specific hints. We’ll see – hopes are high!
