As of 4:30 yesterday IF I hadn’t discovered another cooler line leak I would have gotten the old Ford out for a drive. I DID find the leak and it should be an easy fix that will include another to the junk yard a few bucks and another ½ hour to fix it. Darn plastic fittings! I just ordered the pitman arm and the idler arm it but they won’t be in for a week. I purchased parts from Rock Automotive before but it’s a long time, I’m hoping for the same kind of experience I had before. Some REALLY great prices on some parts. They buy out overstocks, excess inventories and companies going out of business- that sort of thing. The two parts I ordered including shipping will cost less than one of them locally. I checked on shocks for it too. Name brand shocks are just about 1/3 the local cost. That old Ford is still a pretty good vehicle, just not pretty due to a life in the desert sun and lots of use. Still it should do what I need it to do for a lot longer IF I maintain it a little better than I have been.
On to other things- Well there aren’t many, Like some other people I know, I’ve sure had trouble keeping track of what day of the week it is. Why I can’t explain but this time I’ll blame it on MLK day, OK?
