Here it is, a Monday whose name is Tuesday. My time ran a little short yesterday for working on the Ford. I did discover that I was not going to get the transmission cooler line to stop leaking. It had a plastic insert that was SUPPOSED to make the seal. I suspect it had been off and on too many times through the years. I discovered at the junk yard that they must have concluded that that wasn’t a good ting to use in that application. Similar vehicles a year newer had all tradition metal fittings. My old Ford will have those in a while. I snagged one that should work fine once it’s spliced into the old line. I think, I hope.
I probably made a mistake by using aftermarket parts to rebuild the turn signals on the Scout. Oh Well- I’m pretty sure that’s not my first mistake.
It’s almost 60 here so It’s time to put on my mechanic’ing cloths and get with it. With all the oil and grease I’ve wallowing in I think THAT set of cloths are going into the trash when I conclude this phase of automotive work. Too much grease & grime, ground in to ever hope to save.
