It hit 50 degrees and I was gettin with it. The sun is down now and I’m not painting in the dark AGAIN. I’m also not finishing AGAIN either. I’m not painting in the dark AGAIN isn’t the reason I knocked off. I’m plum tuckered out. I think I would have made it today BUT what I thought was a tiny leak in the roof WASN’T. A section (a weak section also) of beam was soaked through and there was water standing on the roof waiting its chance to drain through some tiny leaks at a seam and KEEP the beam soaked. I swept as much water off as I could and set a 500 watt light to on the beam to encourage its drying. Long story made much shorter – I don’t want to patch the leak and patch & paint the beam with water above, under and in it. After checking the weather that probably wasn’t the smart move but neither is having to do it all a couple of times. Nope AND I was extra plum tuckered out, did I mention that? Finest laid plans etc. etc.
Regardless there are plenty “NEED TO’s” that can shift into the priority spot and see what the next few days bring. Most are not as rewarding as finishing a tough project that I can admire every time I sit outside but ain’t that just life? I’m so far behind that whatever I get done will be an improvement.
Whoops AGAIN. I was going to curtail my complaining and seem to have neglected to execute that plan. Darn, another perfectly good plan down the drain. Wait a minute “curtail” doesn’t mean stop all together, instantly, Right? (chuckle)
Well I feel better. I can’t imagine why but I do.
