No progress on the pesky project. It hasn't rained ALL day - just continued to start and stop BUT the wind came up and would have sent drips of rain and PAINT everywhere. OR maybe I just hate being chilled and being in wind enough to restrain me. Sometimes it doesn't take much.

Let’s see if I can get back into the routine of “The News?” First item – IT’S RAINING! OK, OK it’s been in the forecast for a week but it keeps extending till it’s now predicted to last the entire week. Knowing that prediction yesterday I pushed ahead with the current project of painting the structure of the courtyard cover. I was successful to the extent of having all the outer portion DONE. That’s only a small percentage of what’s left to do but if it isn’t actually raining or blowing I can continue undercover. I might have to light a heater though.
and then, and then? The Scout still needs a water pump. The question has arisen about the type that is on it. Is it a magnetic clutch pump or just a clutch pump. This hasn’t ever come up before and it won’t be the first water pump I’ve put on it. No one at the parts stores have any input but then most of them don’t even know who made Scouts. They are available but no one stocks them locally that I’ve found. I think my solution may be to call Rock Auto and talk to someone there. They have both styles and are more likely to actually KNOW something. In this case they are only slightly less expensive but they have always been very helpful.
A short report on the past holidays- I survived – There were some happy, fun times but also times of a less joyful nature. I know that’s to be expected maybe not appreciated much but expected. I also know that I have had that reaction many times through the years but the added loss of Sherry has brought a different dimension into play. Enough of all that- Too much to be Thankful for to dwell there.
It is getting close to 60 outside, it isn’t raining right now so I time its time to act! A bit to eat and “grubby cloths” and advance on the day- Onward old Crusty.
