Whoops. once again I forgot to take a before pictures. Yesterday I finally got motivated to move. I tackled the fountain grass out by the old (not used) bus stop. It was almost 4' tall and through the years had cone to cover a 6'x12' area. When I put it in it shielded the bus stop and gave some separation from "old #5" and some noise reduction. When the bus route was discontinued tenants from the apartments next door used it to talk on their cell phones and feel like that had a little privacy although they were usually talking lough enough to be heard in Mexico without the phone. Well-that might be a slight exaggeration- but loud. I taken care of that bus stop since we've been here, since 1993. Back then the bus stop consisted of a sigh that said "bus stop." No times, no schedules not even a surfaced place to stand and wait. At it's peak they installed a concrete slap, a trash can and a bench then soon after that they discontinued the route. Do I tend to get carried away describing a situation? Why YES I believe I do. The fountain grass did what it was intended to do but it continued to grow taller and cover more area which means it was growing fast by then. I actually like the looks of it and the old stop still gets used for folks needing a rest or a phone booth but no buses. The fountain grass requires cutting back several times a year. It a major pain, literally. Then I have to dispose of the 3-5' tall stems and fuzz that it produces. Let me remind my readers that those two fountain grass plants aren't the only fountain grass I put in through the years. There are 4 others of various species around "old #5." They are all getting out of hand a little but not quite as badly as the two that WERE at the bus stop. Now those two clumps of fountain grass are mostly in the dumpster and all the extra garbage containers I have. What a project and then in the past it had been a 2-4 times a year project. Dirty, dusty and and need to be cut at a level I really don't like to work at- on the ground.

This was taken before I got the second base out of the ground. Checkout the next picture and find an unlikely tool for landscape work???
