Thursday I picked up an old buddy who used to use the bus
stop out in the blvd here at “old #5.” He isn’t so well and can’t get around – relies
on a walker and that doesn’t work so well anymore. A chance for him to get out
and visit for a few hours is a big thing.
Now it’s Friday evening and I’m tired. I’ve made some headway this week – books are altogether in ONE room after being spread all over, boxes ready after sorting and alphabetizing – the plan is to be able to see the book & author’s name easily for display. Today I spent a goodly portion of the day cleaning the courtyard and patio areas. Vacuum up the leaves and large debris, wash the colors after the table tops etc. are clean but then guess what- The floor doesn’t look much better than when I started. Mop time- Gurr. I even washed the Oleander bush with the hose. The leaves were dust covered and the dust wouldn’t blow off. Muddy cat paw prints across the floor too. One of those cats has BIG paws and it must have been running hard as the toe prints were spread wide apart. The prints were so large that I would have thought they were from a smaller sized dog but there haven’t been any dogs inside the fence in a VERY long time- years.
Bill called earlier and I’m going to their house tomorrow to help with some of his projects. There are rumors of a pork tenderloin etc as enticement, not required but . . .
Happy Weekend folks
