The News From Here

Well I did the granite thing AGAIN and I might add that I over did the granite thing today. But I “got her done” for now, I think, unless I make a change or get another brilliant idea. I think I’ll try to downsize my expectations but, may I repeat myself, I “got her done”. If you are not a facebook follower here a picture

Strange how a half ton doesn’t look like a lot of granite and 1.2 tons of granite doesn’t LOOK like a whole more but when it comes to unloading it and hauling it in a wheelbarrow and then raking it – Well just take my word for it 1.2 tons is a LOT more granite. I sometimes wonder if the words “got her done” aren’t ingrained unproductively in my mind - way too often.  It’s that concept that has gotten me in trouble too many times. Even I’d think I would have learned SOMETHING, apparently not yet.
One project down and a kzillion more waiting patiently or not so patiently.
Another “underway” project is organizing my book collection, not to keep but to be able to tell someone what I have and maybe sell a few like a hundred or two and then donate the balance to a “cause.”  Even though I rely on Kindle mostly now I still can’t walk away from a good (hard copy) book if the price is right.  Like mysteries, detective stories, spy thrillers etc?
I think (always scary) that if I were smart I’d get my shower NOW and settle down with a book. I suspect it’ll be a short evening and a short night of sleep.
