Oh Boy that was fun – NOT. My neighbor whose yard I’m ‘taking care of’ is was a mess. Pretty mess yet a mess. They have a species of Palo Verde tree that just bloomed recently. The blooms were 3-4“ deep around an area all around the tree. What I’d estimated to need 30 minutes just took 3 hours. OK it’ll only bloom once this year and I know he really didn’t intend me to clean up the blooms but “Hey!” I didn’t do a full 100% job because it still has blooms on it waiting to fall but I’d guess 80-90% were on the ground already. Next time it should come out the way “I’d want it”. 31/2 contractor sized bags, most of which was mulched, was generated. I’m plumb tuckered out I think. Why Yeah I will will partake of a cool adult beverage- likely two.

Now the debris from the previously mention job is disposed of and the tools are back where they belong and in spite of my griping that’s about the amount of activity I really need 4-5 time a week and now it’s summer so I will work that direction.

9:00 PM:

Since I last checked in I mowed the grass- OK I know that’s a 15 minute job AFTER the trimming and get the clippings and other junk into the trash. PLUS I almost always include cleaning the courtyard and back patio when doing it. All done and the Oleander & Bougainvillea blooms are already re- accumulating. (chuckle)It was fairly warm today – mid 90’s. Not HOT yet but after finishing up I was ready for that/those cool beverages. And thought to myself “I think I’ll turn on the ‘new to me’ cooler”. Soon after that I realized that I had a problem – two as a matter of fact. Both have to do with leaks, both are, hopefully fairly easy to address. By then the sun was almost down and it was cooling off anyway. Time to think about supper- actually I’d been thinking about it and decided it was deep frying evening which means outside. Somewhere among all that thinking I decided to shower FIRST. Well all that’s done and it’s now 9:00 PM and I just finished a book and have learned that when I finish one to immediately download at least one more or I won’t be a ‘happy camper’ tomorrow. Done and done for!
