9:30 PM

Good Evening. I cut the BB&B down to B&B this evening. Not quite so cool and my mood was different, I guess. I got quite a bit accomplished today-nothing dramatic or exciting but progress. I think.
I have “Googled” and searched to the point of total frustration. All over a headlight switch that I won’t try to remove till I get the knobs off of it. Oh I can get the ‘main’ knob off but there’s secondary knob that controls the “Delayed” shut off. Today I checked it out again and I could ‘turn on the headlights’ by simply turning that knob without the main on/off knob. Well if I wasn’t already sure the switch was faulty that would have convinced me. There is a keyed shaft that both knobs are on. The first knob simply has a clip on the shaft that affixes it the next one in I have no idea what holds it on. I feels solid and it’s detentes are specific and strong. The new switch has only the hole for the old shaft to go into and it’s tube is threaded on the outside for a lock not (not provided) That, I assume, means I’m intended to use the old one. Except it’s behind the dash and I won’t be able to get to it with the “delay knob” in place. If you have followed that – well I don’t know what to tell ya – (chuckle) I was really hoping that by converting it to words and typing them that I would gain some additional insight to it. What really bugs me it has to be so simple that apparently EVERYONE else does it without issue. Maybe in my sleep because it isn’t working for me now ! ! ! Ha Ha Ha, OK it ain’t so funny to me at the moment.
Alas it isn’t critical and it’ll get fixed, EVEN if I have to take it to a shop.
