Sunday 8:30 PM
I have, again, become negligent regarding “The News.” Hey! When I do that I do it REALLY WELL. Over and Over and Over.
The partners are settled in (I think) and all is well there (at the moment). It's quite a change of life style from “Just me” to “Others” living in “old #5”. Oh the living quarters are totally separate, private entrances etc even. It’s just strange to go from 1 occupant in a building to NOT being 1 occupant and sharing a patio, courtyard, parking and all the outside space etc. Especially when the other occupants are partners in the entire property. I’m Thankful that we have gotten along so well AFTER the first few years even to the extent of progressing beyond just friends to family. It’s going good – I’m just not accustomed to it. I‘ve had since 1993 to be come accustomed to it but it’s never been the same from year to year AND certainly isn’t likely to either. This year it’s only for 2 months – then I’ll miss them when they leave and hope they’ll be back again but never know for sure. OK, What exactly do I know for sure about tomorrow ? I DO know WHO holds tomorrow – Answered my own question, didn’t I? (chuckle)
Crazy old man that I am.
Has this neighborhood ever changed – Yesterday a neighbor came over to talk about IH Scouts (he has one too), today one stopped by to leave a big bag of Tangerines-oranges.
I suspect Orland & Onie are headed back to Illinois. Glad I got to visit with Orland & Look forward to the next time & hope Onie if feeling good for the trip back. I’m not even sure how many times I’ve had that trip. I made it on a plane, a bus, a train, driven it a lot in traditional vehicles but also in a ‘65’ camper-van and a (antique) OLD camper behind the (antique) Scout. Each was a different experience and each worth the experience – If I had a “bucket list” I’d sure include one of the less traditional means of travel. Imagine that . . . I ain’t hitching ... I don’t think….
