A pretty wild weekend for this old timer (that’s a joke) in case you didn’t realize it. Wasn’t a thing wild about it BUT it wasn’t bad either. Sat. morning I took some stuff to Dawn & Bill’s. I don’t know what happens to me when I load stuff up but it’s much like going to the grocery store. Yep got it all straight in my mind – pull up in the parking lot and BLANK by the time I’m IN the store I can’t imagine why I thought it was so important to go “to the store”. (chuckle) Strangely enough I seem to always have plenty to eat though. Maybe not something I REALLY want but it sure isn’t a matter of not having something to fix. Oh Yeah it might be the “fixing” part that is the problem or it could be the cleaning up part. Oh Yeah back to the weekend. Had a great visit with Dawn & Bill and went home. OK that wasn’t what I wanted for sure. Off to the Legion AGAIN. Oh Joy “Bar Bingo” ! Nope not for me but it’s a HIT there. Winning isn’t much but after knowing most of the people who are regulars – it’s not winning – it’s just (sort of) entertainment and contributing that is their focus. I can & do respect that but not enough to participate. Still it was fun and lots of laughs. THEN it was time to go home and be, maybe not thrilled about it, but not unhappy about it either.
I did realize that summer IS CLOSE. When the sun has set and it’s still above 100 degrees. Summer IS getting close. Time to face those issues – First for me cooling the courtyard – that means my evap. cooler gets unwrapped, taken apart & cleaned. Next year if you read about me wrapping it up WITHOUT cleaning it out remind me I won’t be proud of myself. Alas it’s all working but . . . Calcium & whatever else accumulates from local tap water sure makes a mess of those things. BUT worth it if you are an outside person. You may note that I haven’t checked the AC yet. . . Gotta do THAT soon. REAL soon. Down to the 80’s and dropping (from 106) – now to get some of those 80’s degrees INSIDE or sleep outside – Yeah - Crazy Old Man I’m up for either but my first choice is inside – kinda noisy outside. Funny to me – (make your own call) the desert silence is even louder till you get accustomed to it but you have to keep driving further and further to experience IT.
