I’m trying – believe me - I’ve been told I was trying, very trying but I always tried to consider the source. Well I guess it’s nice to be known for something or not.
It ain’t all bad to come home to a chunk of beef chuck with onions, taters, carrots that were simmering in beef broth & garlic for a few hours. I believe I could have made a good meal from the taters and onions but probably not so good with out the beef part and the carrots were OK that way. (chuckle) I haven’t done that in some time now. A long time now, years in fact. Way too long – Next up is pickled asparagus. Had a taste last night and really liked it. It just seems that all the asparagus available locally wasn’t done growing. In a previous lifetime I mowed asparagus down back on Jackson lane in Godfrey IL. Fortunately in a later life I discovered bacon wrapped asparagus from the grill. Now I’ll try it about anyway.
