The News From Here

Well the partners arrived safely. Departure was delayed, disembarking was protracted (40 minutes to empty the plane) and then 30 minutes to get the luggage. Then I missed a turn and we ended up taking the scenic route of about ½ surface streets. Good moods in spite of frustration. They gotta be wiped out. Both doing well though and happy to be here. It should be an interesting season.
Speaking of being wiped out, I’m pretty close to it – it’s a tiny bit past my usual horizontal time or at least 40% horizontal time. A book & beverage time in the courtyard recliner. Besides it’s COLD outside. It would take a serious fire in the fireplace to warm me 8-10 feet away. I was reminded (by the partners) that upper 30’s isn’t even close to -10 to 10 degrees. I can remember being a wee lad (Ah Oh, here he goes again) My brothers going sledding between Heilmcamp’s (sp?) pond to the creek & between that and the downward slopes. I really wanted to stay and ride the sled again but the cold over ruled the fun. Even then. I’ll still take the 110+ degrees over anything below 60. Well maybe not when the electric bill comes. NOPE even then, as long as I have $$$ to cover it. (chuckle)
Strange (NOT) but I learned of the increase in SS from another recipient and NOT from ANY media. Now I’ll admit I don’t follow any traditional media preponderates – is there any such thing now?
Wow Midnight is passed ! I don’t do “midnight” without incredible motivation. Oh yeah – Midnight wasn’t all that late, Back then. As I recall. . .
