Now wait just a “cotton pickin minute” I missed FIVE posts here? Well I guess that isn’t so bad because I’m not sure where most of April and so much of May went! Imagine that! I picked up a little speed in May – the weather has been so great and the sky so beautiful that I catch myself just kicking back and enjoying it - ( my specialty ). Someday I may rue the day that I became a compulsive reader. Ha Ha Ha Probably not!
All is about as good as it gets here. It is breezy, 20mph, not serious winds but even the 20 mph breezes are diminishing. Well Alright!
My buddy Jerry (mobile mechanic) stopped by today. I called him when I was struggling with the motor mounts and hadn’t heard back. That job is finished but someone to save a few dozen trips out from under the Scout would have been nice. He was all full of apologies and I told him I understood and had assumed he wasn’t feeling great. He hasn’t been working much due to not feeling well. Finally he went to the VA after saying he’d never go back in that system. Not a good period for a good ole boy.
I finally ordered a new tarp for the shop from Ace Hardware and had it delivered to my local store. It came a day early – OK! My plan is to wait till the breeze dies down. It’s a real challenge to replace the shop tarp. The entire parameter is lined with work benches and/or equipment and the outer parameter is steel fence and a shed and the courtyard roof. So standing on a step ladder and reaching over stuff to put it over the equipment to attach the cover to the frame isn’t much fun. Everything is covered now with small cheap poly tarps EXCEPT the work areas where I need to be to put tools away etc BUT not much point in putting it up till the wind calms down a bit. ,br> All that is pretty well the news from here thus the name “The News From Here.” (smile)
