Hey I’m home before 7:30 PM and had a patty melt (lots of grilled onions in melted Swiss cheese and a major piece of ground beef) on fresh baked Rye bread that half of which is in the fridge for lunch tomorrow or breakfast or snack or . . .

Well I gave her ‘what for’ today! Spend almost all the day in the shop. You can almost see that there is a shop buried under the tools and trash and ?inventory?. I have discovered that my motivation to accomplish tasks is greatly enhanced by access to tools and equipment. I can now see and identify work surfaces and tool cabinets and power tools not all of which are really accessible yet but I can SEE them NOW! Sorting out sockets and extensions and metric & standard wrenches and sockets is such enjoyable work and wiping them off and putting them back where they belong is, well, not exciting work but after a few months of leave it where you used it & I don’t remember where I found it without much help from Shorty ‘in the where did you I get it’ department didn’t help. There is the ever present situation of needing a specialized tool and not having it. Whoops after it’s served its once and maybe only purpose, where the heck do I put it NOW. If all that sounds like griping and complaining it could be - about 20% but 80% BUT I HAVE IT - NOW if I could just remember where I put it. Now I won’t be able to blame Shorty. I felt much better when he said, before he left this year, if you can’t find it look in MY storage closet in the house. Whoops I think that might have been a sign. (chuckle)
Follow up after bouncing around between clinics at VA for a couple hours and my primary care specialist saying “don’t worry it isn’t a bad one and it’s very slow growing and finally giving up and walking out the door my phone indicates an an INCOMING! My dermatology clinic saying they have an opening MONDAY 3:00 PM! I’ll take it ! OK coming home might not be fun (rush hour traffic) but I have a friend who lives pretty close OR . . . I’ll handle it. I used to get lost on the reservation getting home but I’ve been doing it for many years – since the Scribe Software days. Like a lifetime ago. Actually a couple lifetimes ago – I can enjoy the trip with good memories of those days, yet moving on with what the future holds.
