Wow ! Such an out-pouring of Birthday wishes. I am awestruck and a little intimidated. Very few of the respondents follow “The News From Here”. I don’t promote it anymore- sort of just a point of reference for my kids and others interested in the ‘day to day’ of a more than ‘advanced maturity’ gentleman's (?) day to day life. Unfortunately it’s degraded into a “when ever” update.
In honor of the occasion I will go far enough to say that I never thought I’d achieve almost ¾ of a century. ’Boy oh boy’ I sure can’t take any credit for that AND it isn’t ¾ century YET! (chuckle).
Nice day minus some frustration changing out a simple door closer. I think that’s what I get for buying a NEW one. Not much ‘new around here’ – most came from garage sales & thrift stores.
The AC came on and seems to be doing OK. That’s not always been the case but I’m Thankful for it- So much to be thankful for . . . Way more than AC ect.
