Had Lobster Bisque for the first time ever- as best I can recall. Oh I’d seen it on menus but just wasn’t interested I guess. Finally I pulled the trigger - Chef Joe’s Lobster Bisque and thought I should try it. I wasn’t feeling very hungry but knew SOMETHING was called for gastronomically. “Just a cup Please” I ordered – thinking of a cup as being “A CUP”. Ha Ha Ha Wrong again ‘old crusty’. This bowl appeared and I inquired about the size. I was informed that if I liked it and wanted to order it again it was only available on weekends and if a smaller portion was wanted then I should order a “side” of it next time. Well- live and learn STILL. (chuckle) I won’t try to describe the taste but after about a half of the cup I was delightfully filled and approaching over full. "A container Please", it was way too good to waste any! That container is awaiting tomorrow lunch time AND with it I have Maple smoked salmon. A friend’s version who wants my critique of it. I’m thinking that they are likely not really compatible so to do justice to each I’ll not eat at the same sitting. Nothing like a tasting Monday! I’m thinking Salmon for breakfast & Lobster Bisque for lunch? Now where did all this culinary experience originate, you may well ask? Drum Roll, Please -

The Lobster Bisque from Chef Joe and the Maple smoked salmon from a friend and patron/member.
The entire experience was over shadowed by a friend having to be escorted out after over drinking. I’ve known him for a couple years and that whole tendency is not in keeping with his normal demeanor. THAT is a signal of something not good in my opinion. Wish I could help but don’t have a clue how except IF he comes back as far as I’m concerned it never happened but I will be alert and try something. Before problems arise.
Prior to that drama I had decided that my back yard was unacceptable. It’s been weeks under the Doc’s orders – no lifting beyond 5#. OK I’ve had enough of that stuff- the tiny back yard is only about 12x20 and I mow it with a weed eater AND it was about 10” tall plus the Bougainvillea (X 5) were overgrown. Still some residue from that remains but I made a major dent in it! Tomorrow is another day and if it isn’t then I wasted a day – boy I’ve never wasted days before – Ha Ha Ha>br> At this point I’d say “progress is PROGRESS!
