The News From Here

I’ve really been slipping up with The News. It could be a couple of things neither I’m really proud of. First I’d say is overcome with “the lazy’s.” Second sort of all around grab bag is too much on my mind, some stress and not much to report. I have not been doing much of anything and I know that can not continue.

Sherry’s brother Bud is not doing well and is in the hospital. He hasn’t been doing too great for a long time but this is something a little different. Prayer is invited.
Tomorrow I’m going to a far and distant land of San Tan Valley. Well it’s not that far & distant but it’s a ways. Adam & Trindal are taking a short vacation without the boys and I’m going to stay with them for a few days. The actual mileage doesn’t really justify my attitude toward the trip out there. It could be that the last bit is dirt roads and lots of washes to cross and I’ll be in the Ford. If the Scout were up to the drive right now I’d probably spurge on the fuel just to be able to play in the desert a bit but alas that’s not be right now. I downloaded a couple books into the Kindle so I won’t run short of reading. I don’t know about their internet connection but I know the phone isn’t reliable at all. I’m not going out till tomorrow so maybe I’ll get another posting in before I head out.
I can do a few things while I’m in the desert besides watching the sky. Adam’s has a new to him truck and he’s leaving the keys Plus his old truck has a problem that I’m going to try to identify. I probably won’t drive the newer one but I’ll test drive the old a little. Vibrations are sometimes very illusive and he’s already checked or replaced all the most likely sources so I’ll be a fresh mind for it to mess with.
