The News From Here

I’ve been treated to listening to a band of deaf musicians practice for the last hour and a half. I was listening closely as the words were intriguing to me. I’ve always wanted to be able to speak a foreign language and after listening I was able to determine that whatever this language was it contained only 5 words so it should be very easy to learn. I remember the 5 words because when you only have 5 words to use there’s a lot of repetition in the songs. Da, De, Ya, Eh and the last one was sort of all those run together that I couldn’t replicate vocally or using the keyboard.

I am mostly taking today off from physical work. I left early helping Kurt yesterday because I know I wasn’t getting much done and I pretty well knew why. I was done in and it was time to retire for the day or two or three. I have some challenges to deal with a web site that have been driving me crazy. The driving me crazy part comes from the fact that it is so simple and certainly not new to me but processes I used previously don’t work- or more accurately don’t work consistently. Once again I’ve taken an hour job and made it into days of work (short days). I’m thinking that a slow relaxed morning and some time with a good novel and this afternoon I’ll push ahead with the challenge.
