Happy Back to Normal Day! Whatever “Normal” is at your house. Here it is more non normal than usual. The partners are due in late this afternoon. The worst problem I can foresee is their front door is swollen from all the moisture we’ve had. I expect that now that I’ve turned the heat on in their living room that it’ll be OK soon. I also expect that even though it isn’t really warm here it’ll feel a lot better than the 3 degrees and snow they left in IA. Last thing I need to do in preparation is to make sure there’s clean path through my old office to the fuse box. The partners are known to blow a fuse once in a while. It’s inconvenient but better than overloading some very old circuits.
Parking is likely to be an issue this year. The apartment building next door is at 100% occupancy and all but one tenant has at least one vehicle and then there’s me with three sitting out in front. I plan to bring the Scout inside the fence. It needs work anyway and it’ll free up a spot.
I can report that the Lemon tree is in the ground and the Saguaro in planted in front. The Saguaro didn’t require a giant hole but I did a giant hole for the Lemon tree. I supplemented the native soil and then used the excess to build a levee around it for watering purposes. The circle for watering is pretty optimistic (about 6’ ring) as I would really LIKE to see it flourish rapidly. It’s 4 years old based my documentation with it so it’s due to produce and it certainly had a major root ball – Go Tree.
