I finished off yesterday and felt OK with the results. No I didn’t get a lot of routine cleaning done but I filed a mess of papers that probably should have been pitched BUT at least the computer desk holds everything that needs to be there plus there is room for a coffee mug and making (hard copy) notes AND doesn’t look unacceptable to me.
Cable service just left. My problem was a little crazy so when I was told over the phone “it’s probably just the box, bring it in and we’ll give you another one” I wasn’t too happy. They agreed to check it out and send a service person instead. The problem was/is (I think it still existed) that NASCAR races on NBCSN wouldn’t come it. If I re-set the box it would come in after a while sometimes. The service person admitted that they’d already checked and I had a low signal issue. So first off he changed the box – “Huh” That’s a direct quote by me. Then he took the new box out and put the old one back. Next he replaced the line from MY junction box outside to the inside box and said “that should work.” Do you notice a slight skepticism on my tone? He also replaced all the connectors in my box with new style units that have insulated plugs. I know what THAT is intended to do. That’s too keep (on air) signals from entering THEIR system and does nothing for my service. I mentioned as casually as I could that low signal issues here were usually at the pole out front. He wasn’t impressed. I don’t think his ladder was tall enough to reach anyway. You can take that either way and still be correct.
That’s my morning so far- Now I NEED to vacuum and clean up because he also made sort of a mess.
