Monday morning, Ah good old Monday morning. Much maligned simply due to its position in the traditional week.
I ventured uptown Saturday evening. A very rare thing for me. The need to get out over powered my usual reluctance to get involved in the Friday or Saturday night issues. I went to the local brewery; imagine me doing a thing like that. There was additional motivation for me as their Saturday night entertainment is a singer & his acoustical guitar who I hadn’t heard. I wondered what the crowd would be like and I wondered what the music would be like. By 8:00 PM there was no crowd, music wise – good easy listening and not too loud. If there was a downside it would only be having sat next to a recently converted avowed socialist. Unfortunately he was obviously affluent and poorly informed. That is a dangerous combination to society in my opinion. On the plus side I kept that opinion pretty much to myself without giving any positive reinforcement to his ignorance. I’ll likely try it again. (chuckle)
I topped off the dumpster Sat. AM with cacti to the extent that it really didn’t roll easily but wouldn’t be a problem for the loader. Sat. afternoon, as soon as it was empted I reloaded it to about the 80% level. I figure one more weekend like that and the serious trimming will be “good to go” for quite a while.
Company coming again TODAY. Buddy & lady are arriving this evening to enjoy the comfort and luxury of the guestroom accommodations. (chuckle) Actually they are arriving to visit his dad and family here. It doesn’t require a lot of preparation but some is needed. Some of you might relate to having an unused room sitting within a door’s opening. “Stuff” just automatically gravitates to an empty space. Plus- some dusting, vacuuming etc. might be called for. No Big Deal. Oh Yeah- I best turn the little AC unit on EARLY. It takes a while to cool the space and longer to cool the old masonry walls.
Time to eat something and launch the day. Make it a good Monday- it's your option.
