Are YOU ready? I got all my shopping and trips done! Thank You very much. Everything put away & rested a bit and what do I discover - It's way too empty and quiet at "old #5.". OK it's motorcycle night in downtown. I can do that. A pint out on the sidewalk with a live band wasn't all bad. Not my taste in music but not bad and the bass player was as old as I am but a good musician. Big Difference There! PLUS it was outside so I could position myself so that I could hear without hurting from hearing. And then as I was leaving, a chance to help someone out with their car problems and get them on their way, helped too. I needed to come home and get more tools and when I got back I told the woman’s dad that “some old long haired dude hasn’t been putting his tools away properly.” The old man said “what, you too.” (chuckle) Still way too empty and quiet but now I AM totally worn out and need a shower, badly. All in all I’ve had worse evenings. Some music, a fair pint of Porter, a chance to be of help and a place to come home to. Yep it’s time to be Thankful- again, still, always.
