The sun rose again this morning so I guess I should get with it. Last evening amongst other issues on my mind I thought I’d like to have the courtyard and water fall cleaned up and presentable TO ME. I think I was pretty serious about it (chuckle) as I did the dishes and picked up in the kitchen (inside) before retiring. That’s a good but now I have to eat AGAIN. Yep it’s time to get with it. IF I stay focused and could be back on the Scout or the trailer this afternoon. Whoops that sounds almost like a goal – Humm
Well I got her done – The courtyard and back patio are about as good as they can get. Clean and organized and, well it ain’t the Ritz, but it ain’t bad for me. But HEY! I cleaned the bar TOO! Wow! I was on a roll. Frankly it feels so very good to get stuff done. I ONCE had a routine – Thursday or Friday morning- get those two areas ready for the Friday night Happy Hour. The Happy hour didn’t necessarily mean excessive drinking or crazy behavior but ALWAYS good fun and lots of laughing and usually WAY TOO MUCH food and stories. As the years went by the food sort of came under control as no one ate that much but it didn’t stop the laughs and stories. Sure do miss those days & the people and especially my soul-mate through those fun times. I don’t intend or want to sound morbid or overly sad – just mostly just stating a fact.
The partners got home safely and report a great time. I’m happy for them. They are plumb wore out I believe but a good wore out. Good stuff. I sort of expect tomorrow to be a tad slow around “old #5” as all of the residents are likely to need some R&R time. (chuckle)
MAYBE Shorty & I will get back to the trailer? There’s a lot of paint to spread and few hundred screws to go in from the underside but it’s all together except the rear gate and actually mounting it on the frame. Next it’s lights and getting a title and license. That may have to wait till NEXT month. (chuckle) Whoops I easily over looked making the electrical trailer hook up straighten out on the Scout. Been there before and I always THINK I have it worked out but then when I try it - - - Even after having it all working fine the LAST time I pulled a trailer with it.
