Good Grief - 1:00 PM and I'm still less than productive. I've just been too busy I guess. That doesn't make sense unless YOU'D been answering the phone around here and waiting for a delivery. About half of the calls were productive.
Most of what I'm describing as productive were from VA. One from AC company wanting to do an inspection including up to a pound of freon for $40. OK we'll see on the 28th. I can't remember the last time someone reseasonably knowledgable it that. It's been just me for a long time and I don't have gages so it's been visual and functions checked only. The coils haven't cleaned for several years and I did it last, whenever that was.
The delivery was easy just get disgusted and go outside and look for it regardless that the notification stated that it would have to signed for. 16" x 22" sign on the door to call and knock loudly resulted in me finding it on the ground inside the fence on East side. Dropping most of my deliveries over a 6' fence doesn't hurt them a bit. I understand- I've known a couple UPS drivers and have an idea what they go through not to mention the excess heat right now. Frankly I'd forgotten the delivery till I'd checked my calendar - Hum that must be why I keep one ya think?
It's probably a good thing I did as I was contemplating hooking up the trailer and taking it to DMV for it's inspection and license. Then if I had any money left I'd go get 1/2 ton or so of granite. A half ton doesn't go far but the landscaping yard isn't too far away so I can make a few trips now that I don't have to load it by hand and can back it into the fenced drive in back. Then worry about unloading as I feel like it. That has been the primary goal of having a small trailer. I'm wondering now as in a HOT afternoon might be a good time to go to DMV- Maybe the masses that I usually encounter there won't be this time. The inspection process isn't usually bad but then I have to actually get the plate and sticker- that can be a challenge to my patience.
