Yesterday's productivity- (1)Got some supplies for lunch/dinner today. (2)Killed TWO Palo Verde bugs (nasty roach-like bugs 3-4" long that live in the ground unless they need water. They dared to wonder across the patio last night.(3)Read a book- almost the entire book. Hey it took till almost midnight, see hold dedicated I am? If that doesn't sound like much you'd be exactly correct. It could easily become another habit to deal with yet I will over come it. (chuckle)
While talking to Adam on the phone yesterday I was a little relieved when I described to him my main AC unit not quite keeping up with the 120+ degree heat. He had just had some AC work done- HE has friend in the business. The friend told him the majority of AC units are designed and tested for only a max of 105 degrees. He said his didn't keep up either and it had just been checked out and was doing all it could. He also mentioned that setting the air handler (fan) on the AC to always run could help plus IF the unit froze up it might even thaw it out before he'd know it had frozen up and NOT pose a problem. I told him I have done that for years just because moving air always feels cooler than still air. I have had to install new fan motors more often than normal (6-7) years but they aren't expensive compared to most AC parts and I can do the install in about an hour and a half. I hope to NOT have to do that but. . .
