I almost didn’t answer the landline a while ago, especially when I didn’t recognize the number or even the area code. I’m sure glad I did though. It was my bro-in-law Bill Pruitt in NC. We hadn’t talked in so many years that frankly I’d assumed he’d passed on. Not the case- He had just finished his mile long walk and thought he’d give me a call. 90 years old – lives alone and still drives etc. Quite a guy. My sister’s condition hasn’t changed – healthy physically but her mind is gone. Sad. She requires 24/7 care and Bill visits her several times a week. He asked if I wanted the stuff he has from the Waggener side of the family. He said there are some very old pictures and Dad’s Bible. You better believe I want them. What a shock – the entire experience- Good shock but still a shock.
