Wait a minute “old Crusty” that’s NOT what you were going to base the post on-
My good & long time friends from CO departed Sat morning to continue their trip. It seems that my friend’s cell phone was re-positioned to the parking lot at a super market early Saturday. OK I’ve lost my phone and never found it but I wasn’t on an extended road trip. What’s amazing is a lady called me on it and said she’d found it and there had been several calls to my number recently. She figured that anyone the owner had called than many times in the last week must be a friend. Yep- they’re headed for TX. I met her at the VFW out in Apache Junction and retrieved the phone. I didn’t have his wife’s cell phone number so I couldn’t let them know till I got the phone. After my I can SEE again I’ll get it in the mail to their next stop in TX. Neat- The lady said everyone told her she should have just have given it to the supermkt mgr- Wrong – “If I knew where I lost it I’d go get it” –Words I’ve often used. It’s neat to know that not everyone is reluctant to go the extra mile.
I’m still a little shocked by the B-day responses this time around. I don’t remember B-days being such a big deal to me ever and I certainly never expected them to be a BIG deal when I hit the advanced number that I’ve had. Extending even to today and calls from friends from times past. Thank You all-
OK my schedule is all messed up- Once again I kept occupied (unproductively thru the day till late afternoon when it “warmed up quite nicely.” THEN I got invigorated- Look Out back yard- all the vegetation in the back yard got trimmed. OK – it’s not much back yard but it’s all I have. (chuckle) By dark I got the EVERYTHING trimmed and cleaned and – here’s the hard part- into the dumpster. Even some cactus in the bottom of the dumpster. Why is that relative -- - by the time I get everything stuffed in it I NEED heavy stuff in the bottom so it will PUSH the other stuff I’ve PACKED in out. Cactus pads are HEAVY.
hang on
