Got some stuff done today maybe not totally done I guess but some accomplishment. I cut down the old waterbed base to fit the queen sized one and retained the drawers. Compared to moving the old extra long king mattress (one piece) the preparation was a piece of cake. It’s done and I even went out and bought NEW sheets. Yeah I know I could have used the king sized ones but . . . I don’t remember EVER buying new sheets before. It just struck me- I know when I moved away from my folks house back in 63 0r 64 I didn’t take any sheets with me or much else except my cloths – sore of a stressful situation as I recall – and believe me I recall. My next move was into marriage and sheets weren’t my department. Then again when I separated I KNOW FOR SURE I didn’t take any sheets – Hum all that narrative from buying a set of sheets- Now back to today- I came really close to anti-freeze time in the Ford. One clamp on the lower hose isn’t clamped YET. I think I was tired and I know I was hurting so I won’t chastise myself too much. Serpentine belts are a pain. Why I remember when Fords had two water pumps on an engine AND they were right out in the open. Took a few minutes to change them both. They also didn’t have an air pump, AC, Power steering and a lot of other things stuck on the front of the engines. (chuckle) OK I’ll stop with the reminiscing. I’ve lost interest myself already PLUS trying to advance is dangerous when you’re looking backwards.
Hey that’s pretty good Crusty
I chopped some kindling too and laid in a fire for this evening. I have the decorative lights on in the courtyard and after another very hot, long shower. WHOO then I’ll put the new sheets on. (Ha Ha Ha) but probably not jump into bed. I’ll head to the courtyard with a book in one hand, a glass in the other and try for another one match fire in the fireplace. I don’t expect to need much wood as I feel it might be a fairly short evening.
