Well folks it's
Friday night here and for most of my readers it’s Friday night
where they are too. Not a bad Friday. My “stuff overload” has
been diminished. Hardback books-15 boxes- were received with
enthusiasm from Hospice of the Valley and the Salvation Army will get
the extra long king-sized bed and inner springs on the 4th
of Jan.
I took my outside propane heaters to Bill & Dawn’s for the holidays and brought my heavy duty hand truck home. Hey the tires were still up on it- that’s fantastic. (chuckle) I had picked up a tire to replace one that wouldn’t hold air and fought putting it on. Finally I took it to the tire shop to get it done. A couple hours later I went back to pick it up only to learn they didn’t have anyone who COULD do it. The manager apologized saying I keep running back there to the shop to show them how to do it and the phone would ring. Here’s a new tube for it for your patience and understanding. Now folks I’m not really known for my patience and understanding so I was reassured I was dealing with some of the “good guys.” Same tire shop I’ve dealt with since 1993 and our move to Mesa. If they can’t compete with a quoted price elsewhere they just say I can’t compete. THAT I understand and they understand - the ball is back in my court. My choice- but up front and straight forward. Well “old crusty got the sucker on” I’d rather had them do it – they little tires and
are difficult – putting a tube in a 4” wheel with heavy duty tire. - - - Way more that you wanted to know about tiny wheels and tires or my HD handtruck for that matter. If you ever need one I GOT ONE & the tires hold air PLUS you are more than welcome to borrow it. (chuckle)
Back to the plot (chuckle) On my way way back to “old #5” I was thinking (as you’ve heard before from me– always a dangerous situation) my options were go home and watch TV, read or pursue human contact & communication further. “Pursue human contact & communication further” won hands down. Wait just a cotton picking minute! That ain’t headed where you think- Just visit with folks who actually communicate who want the same thing– is my definition. In this case the Desert Eagle Brewery was the best option. Two pints of Porter and my ears were full of “human contact & communication.” Interesting as it was AND it was – you just wouldn’t expect to meet two brothers of Hispanic/Indian background, from Kansas being “Blues Musicians.” Quality ? Don’t have clue – Don’t matter – Dust off the barroom BS and it was still interesting -WAIT A MINUTE– that was what (interesting) I was looking for. (chuckle)
