Monday
is winding down, at least the daylight portion of it. It turned out
to be a pretty fine day with about 75% spent with great friends.
About 3:00 PM I remembered I had one more thing I wanted to attend
to. Two more cable boxes needed to be picked up. A trip to the cable
company store is rarely a fun thing and I’d thought that 3:00
would be a good time to go. Actually it wasn’t too bad – when I
first walked in the receptionist indicated to would be 20-30
minutes. He stopped me a little later and said the line was moving
well and I was next up after about 10 minutes. A
very few minutes later I was out the door and on my way back to “old
#5.” Last time I was out front the partner was still gone with his
son car shopping. Good Luck Boys!
I just stepped out to the
courtyard to pickup a bag of pork skins, to discover rather rudely I
might add, that it’s RAINING. A cold winter rain- Ok, OK it isn’t
THAT cold but it isn’t comfortable. “I’m spoiled you say?”
Eh could be.
Back into Crusty’s Cavern, bag of fried
pork skins, a glass of brew and some Doc Watson bluegrass playing
and a book lays within my
grasp –(see previous paragraph ref “spoiled”) How on earth
can I ever gripe ? I expect I’ll always be able to find a way but
I’ll know it isn’t well founded.
”Tomorrow”
hasn’t gotten much thought yet. A little sunshine or not will
probably be a determining factor. Lots of things COULD dominate the
investment of time & effort. Sunshine
would lead me to another pass
through the front yard to
stay ahead of the falling leaves from next door – fall through
late spring means LEAVES falling from it / a few warm days and it
has new ones till the next cool days and then it just starts over OR
I could continue the shop “thing” in anticipation of Shorty’s
“new to him” car needing SOMETHING done to it.
