Trailer lights – GURR. Something so simple can make me crazy (crazy’er). My progress on diagnosing them is running in reverse to the point it’s getting funny but NOT ha ha funny. I have a new loom anyway so why fight it? By using the new loom and the “less” new lengths for extensions I should be able to maintain color coding, that might help- Ya Think?
The weather forecast is encouraging, to me anyway. High 70’s & low 80’s for the next 10 days with a few clouds for only two of them. The tomatoes really NEED the sunshine I think. I snagged a recipe for tomato and cucumber salad that makes me want some NOW. (chuckle)
The partners are getting ready to depart. They are doing laundry today and ???. I can’t imagine what else remains except they are shipping a couple of boxes back to avoid baggage on the flight. Since I usually do fridge clean out after they leave I can’t really figure out what’s to do. Throw plastic over the furniture and walk out the door but I KNOW if it were me I’d find a way of complicating it too.
Time to get with it whatever “IT” turns out to be – Enjoy this Wednesday.
Wednesday Evening;
I trimmed a bunch of cactus this morning. Some were growing over the side fence and some were just getting too tall and then there were a few that I just thought they needed trimming. (chuckle)
A pile of leaves from the monster tree next door also departed. They were stuck around some cactus bases. I didn’t try to get it “Crusty clean” but just to maintain it at an acceptable level (to me).
Next I tackled the trailer lights- AGAIN. Finally I located the wire that somehow wasn’t doing what electrical wires are supposed to do. In spite of no obvious physical damage. I don’t have clue as to WHY it failed but it did. I wired around it to verify it WAS the problem for sure and then chased it to a spot where it goes through the body of the trailer – Ah Ha- I have it rigged up but still needs to be routed in an acceptable manner. I MAY even buy new wire and do it with the appropriate color in case it happens again. Hey I may actually do that. I elected to keep the new wiring loom set for the NEXT trailer. This one is, as best I recall, the 5th or 6th one I built or rebuilt since being at “old #5.” Yeah, I’m always looking for the NEXT one, STILL.
There is a guy who drives by once a day or more. Yeah I’m sure there are a lot more than “a guy” who drives by daily. This one has a dog riding in the back of his pickup truck. Not tied just riding in back of an open truck. The neat thing is the dog barks almost constantly. For a long time it sort of irritated me but then I started to actually listen to the dog bark. Now you can accept that I’m not a dog whisperer nor can I speak “dog talk” or actually purport that I can BUT once I listened to the dog barking almost non stop as it travels within hearing distance, I realized that is one HAPPY dog. It’s become a sound that I appreciate and enjoy hearing every time. The dog isn’t restrained in back of the truck it’s just having an incredibly great time. Somehow that is a totally refreshing thing. Bark on Dog !
