Well here I am again- trying to breath a little life back into "The News From Here." I know the pictures from yesterday weren't anything most of you of my readers haven't seen before but I still marvel at Cactus blooms. Especially those that don't always bloom yearly. I have a couple that it's fairly rare for them to bloom. This must be "the" year for all of them.
Better tires are now on the Scout. Yes I am a little paranoid about tires on my vehicles. Flats and blow outs have always been a big concern as they never seem to occur when they are just a minor issue either from a cost stand point or from creating a major incident in safety. I've had BOTH and some times at the same time. Not a fun thing -
It's FRIDAY! I hope you all have some interesting and fun activities on your agenda- I'm going to Kurt's Sat. to lend whatever assistance I can to their giant effort of preparing their house to sell. I expect a little carpentry and a little landscaping - Neither are overwhelming but they ARE time consuming - majorly.
Tuesday I get the stitches removed from my back. I AM looking forward to them being gone but I've already been advised that it will still be possible to pull the wound open for a while. Oh Joy more to be careful of. Careful- not something I do happily (chuckle)
This is departure time for most Az. snowbirds. Although I won't miss the crowds at restaurants, on the streets and grocery shopping I WILL miss some the folks. In my mind that is the true sign of the summer doldrums. Time to get to work on some of the projects that have been waiting. Painting, fences and shade structure etc. Oh Yeah - the vehicles. I am still uncertain about investing in the old Ford but a replacement doesn't seem likely so. . . A little investment and a little continuing of the search for a replacement might be AN answer.
Happy weekend Ya-all.
