SO the house is presentable – all dusted, vacuumed and floors mopped & polished etc– the bathroom is more than company ready. DISHES DONE- I didn’t get to the bar, well that isn’t altogether true – I did make a couple trips to the bar during the process. What I don’t understand, I once could clean a house so fast – I could even make a few bucks cleaning new construction houses (tough operation) – a long time ago. Now it’s an major undertaking – OK I DO understand, I just don’t like it – (chuckle). NAH, just laugh out loud.
All that to say I was NOT ready to be at home all evening- 1st thought, a small pitcher at the Legion, not a good plan – the parking lot was full. A swing by the Desert Eagle and OK. Open mile night ! Fantastic, Wasn’t a clinker in the bucket. Fantastic local, amateurs. WOW what a treat! Disgusting actually. All those folks with real talent and ability. I did meet a participant with an interesting background. several in fact but one especially – supporting a “food program in the Philippians.” OK I haven’t checked him out yet but . . . I WILL. If he’d presented me with an actual card I’d have been Immediately suspicious but he had to barrow a pen and a bar napkin. We’ll see- Aren’t we a cynical lot and not all inappropriately either. I’m taking my contributions to the Salvation Army for now- I can count on them. . .
. . . all that to describe an hour & two pints at a local brewery? I’m THANKFUL for it ALL. NOW home is GOOD. Not great but GOOD.
