Most of us old-timers remember - 1st thing after church – change cloths! Actually for me it was after church and after school or about anywhere you’d been. Anyway I changed out of my ‘Sunday Go To Meeting’ cloths into bum around and tackle a project cloths. I haven’t even been driving it much but the Mercury was looking UN-cared for. ( I will spare you my gripping about the dust, tree sap from 50’ away and birds etc) Dust was the main culprit. I tend to get carried away washing a car. I know you can’t always tell from my vehicles but when I DO it’s an undertaking. Add to that there was a guy cleaning his Jeep and I asked about his headlights. I was pretty sure they were Halogen as they were, then the B.S. followed and followed and followed some more. Yes I was most certainly contributed as is only appropriate, Right? (chuckle) I finally got back to the Mercury and finished up. Looks pretty good – I need to think about some wax on it – No that isn’t exactly correct I NEED to wax it NOT think about it. Not today though. . . I came home and thought “It’s time to tackle a project that will contribute to clearing off tables etc. in the courtyard. Lights of some kind all over. Yeah Yeah Yeah I got a thing about neat (to me anyway) lights. One set got taken down and one set got put up. As I was admiring them and enjoying a cool beverage I noticed they had gone out! Yep I know it could happen. The transformer I used was a small one and the combined wattage of the new (2 me) Halogen lights was 120 watts. The transformer was rated for 60. I checked and the transformer was pretty warm. Warm enough to overload it &b kick it out. It’ll probably be OK after it cools off and I have to admit I was NOT surprised. I have more transformers and I’m pretty sure I have one with enough umph to make it work. If Not I’ll take a couple of the lights off the fixture. The picture shows what it looks like before sundown just to give you a clue about how well it works (when it works)
Now it’s about book time. Oh wait it’s about shower & sweats time THEN book time.
