Over 100+ miles today just to look at a camping trailer. And look I did. And that's all I did. Well no I explained that it was worth every penny of the asking price but I didn't expect him to get it. A guy was selling for his best friends wife. His best friend was killed a while back and was trying to help her rid herself of those memories. A number of reasons put me off but the deciding one was it was too much trailer for my old Scout to pull. That's not the real reason - It was too much for my old Scout to STOP. Yep, I'm gettin old to even consider such things. Oh but it was hard. There was a time . . . Then on my way back I remembered my back gate and thought about getting a long trailer in it. I thought of the space back there. Oh I know it can be done I've had much larger trailers back there but that wasn't recently and I remember getting that trailer out. Enclosed double decker race car hauler. That took 3 of us well over an hour and the buyer was a professional over the road driver. I expect your next question might be, why would you want a camper trailer? Well there are a number of places I'd like to go to and not be encountered with things like a place to stay, suiting where I was when I needed to stop and stay a while, and not being limited by where I was when I NEEDED to stop.
It was an interesting day though. I think I helped the guy who was helping his friends wife.
Well that was my afternoon. A stop at the Legion on the way home and here I am. Savoring my leftover succotash WITH the bacon & seasoning that was intended to be in it.
