Been a heck of a day. Nothing traumatic, too hectic or “too much” just . . . I think Jerry & I got Bill’s Lincoln to where he can put the interior back to gather. The heater core is IN and stuff under the dash is back and dash is back where it goes. Strange – there seems to not be enough fasteners for all the interior trim and under hood parts that had to come out but Jerry & I weren’t there for that part. As Jerry put “that’s why he wouldn’t normally do jobs like that”. I understood already but I appreciate him undertaking it and he cut an unbelievable price for what we did.
I got back home and got the partner’s new blind hung for them and then snuck over to the Legion for a brew BUT the bartender is NOT accustom to me having a glass so while I was looking for where I’d sit she had a small pitcher & glass in her hand and was following me around the bar. OK I can handle that OK BUT will my headlights handle me getting home. (The Scout is down for a while) Well once again IT DID. That MAY give me a false sense of comfort but I’m very UN-comfortable it and will push ahead with the Scout. Maybe not tomorrow but soon. BUT I am in the middle of a very good book, and I’ve have had reason to get up earlier of late than a “finish the book” night for several nights. Now IF my eyes remain open I may finish it. Oh I know about “it’ll wait for me” but. . . can I wait for it. Ha Ha Like I know I can BUT will I? I have probably mentioned it before but I never read an entire book till I was well past 30 years old. THEN I was hooked. 1st series/author Agatha Cristy, next one John D. McDonald and I was totally hooked. Now if I read a book & IF I like the author I stick with them till I’ve read all they’ve written and then check for new ones
Well NOW I’m cutting into my reading time! (chuckle)
