Friday? FRIDAY! Can it be? “Well yes, Crusty just because you don’t keep close track of what day it is doesn’t keep them from sliding away.” The Scout has developed a coolant leak. No not a drip drip thing. Once it comes up to temperature and pressure it runs out. This afternoon I tackled it seriously – I thought. It appeared to be coming from the top of the lower radiator hose and running down the hose and being distributed by the engine fan. Key word here is appeared. Tightening the hose clamps didn’t fix it - A new hose didn’t fix it either which doesn’t sound like a big deal on a 40 year old truck. Well it wouldn’t have been if I had just removed the power steering belt so that my hand could actual reach the clamp. I didn’t remember till I realized I would be repeating the process again soon. Soon in as in tomorrow IF my back makes peace with the rest of my body. SO it all begins again. It could be the water pump, it could be one of several other hoses in that general region (none of which are very accessible and any of those could conceivably send coolant spraying toward the fan and redistributed in/on several areas). As I so often remind myself “Ifs ya wants ta ride (especially in interesting vehicles) ya going ta pay” and if you don’t worry much about “interesting vehicles” ya still going ta pay to ride- might just as well enjoy the “gettin there.” Well that’s another example of Crusty’s logic that some may find fault with. Some have previously I’m pretty sure but I guess I didn’t pay enough attention to be able recall their names. (smirk/smile/chuckle) Well I thought it was funny.
Shower & sweats THEN Kindle ! I really struggle with all these self appointed restrictions. Ha Ha
