Oh it is SOOO tempting to skip ‘The News From Here’. I’m a little worn from the furniture moving yesterday – Oh no big deal just a lot of Rice Chrispies sounds coming from my back along with the associated lightening bolts. I remember the first time that happened – I was 21 years old as I recall and thought I was done for forever. Ah the foolishness of youth.
A trip to Home Despot (chuckle) and there was a big puddle of coolant under the Scout. Yeah When you drive two antiques and one is awaiting attention and the other spouts a major leak – it’s heads up time. I wish I could tell you “Oh it was just the _______ . I’ll fix that in the morning. Not so – hasn’t leaked again. YET! I did check the hoses and tighten a couple – Hey it COULD be that simple were it not in my life. Ha Ha Ha
It did get to the Legion and back without leaking at ALL and held through a small pitcher.
A Silent auction just started by the Thursday bartender – Lauri as a fund raiser fpr the club. Kind of neat ! 1st item up was a Cubs belt buckle & belt that I gave her to do with as she saw fit and suggested a fund raiser. Well it’s not a big money item but it is a numbered collector piece and . . . Way ta GO ! What else have I got. . . Stuff – Yeah – tons. Well maybe not TONS but a lot! Someone, some day (hopefully not right away) will have to dispose of it. Most will end up in the landfill so let’s have some fun with it? Right? Well that’s my plan anyway.
