The News From Here

I'm sure that you can't imagine this but yesterday didn't work out in keeping with my goals. I change my direction totally. I realized how bad the Prickly Pear Cactus had gotten- a parasite attacks them and forms a sticky glob of white stuff on each sticker pore. If left untreated it weakens the plant. SO- I got the old pressure washer out and 150 ft. of hose and got the worse done before dark. A few to go up front but they aren't nearly as bad.

Also yesterday I tackled the cactus nursery where almost all the cactus here were started. I decided to take it out because (1) I don't have room for more Cactus, (2) not too many people like them and (3) I met a lady that works down the street who DOES want them.They were all potted and the pots buried so it was fairly easy to get them out of the ground. I have them all out except for the Saguaro. I'm going to take it out yet and plant it in front- somewhere.
