My friend and wife from Bunker Hill just departed “old #5.” What an appreciated treat. Thanks folks.
The Ford sits patiently in back with the driver’s side door panel spread all over the floor. Being informed that your interior courtesy lights are on with everything off and the doors all closed is not a good thing. A dead battery is simply the tip of an iceberg. What made them come on and refuse to go off is more than an iceberg – it’s a maze of almost impossible “could be’s.” Could be this, could be that or it could be about anything else with no real way of checking without a major (and expensive) diagnosis that would likely exceed the value of the thing. After checking all the first level of “could be-s” I advanced to the second level and soon decided that since I’m not all that courteous to begin with I believe I will forgo their services. Unfortunately that circuit also provides power for the trip minder and several other services that I do use normally. I will learn to not use them at this point. Also in the process I discover the battery is 2 months out of warranty and not holding a full charge. Ah the pleasures of riding in comfort have gotten frustrating & costly again.
The long predicted rain has arrived in central AZ but on the good side they are expected to depart by morning. Pass the weed killer, Please. I think I’m tired of using a generally good killer and may step up to the fast working weed killer. As much rain as we’ve had coupled with the speed the weeds pop through the granite gravel in the yard makes it hard to tell the dying weeds from the just popped up weeds. I tend to spray ALL the weeds when I spray so I probably waste enough chemical to make up the difference in cost.
Wow I’m really in a complaining mode. That just ain’t right- Here I am I’m enjoying a pot of fresh roasted great Costa Rican coffee, all the bar lights on (to take the chill off) and a package of Taylor Mexican chili sitting in the kitchen. YES folks, Taylor Chili from Carlinville IL compliments of Orland & Onie- thanks a lot. It might not see the light of morning or I might save it till I’m REALLY in a mood.
As I was reading about the courtesy light I thought "Well, just pull that fuse..."
ReplyDeleteGreat minds etc...
Now you need to get a tap light from wally world and zip tie it to the dome light.
So you can take a picture and send it to http://thereifixedit.com
