Have I mentioned my, what is now. obviously, my "failing fridge?" I’ve been watching VERY closely recently and for several days I thought it healed itself (chuckle). It hasn’t – runs almost constantly struggling to maintain 41 degrees in the fridge portion. Frozen stuff is still frozen but. . . Time to bit the bullet and buy a fridge! Done and a valuable lesson learned – I CAN still man handle a fridge by myself. Oh the store loaded it but then I was on my own. Now you must realize that I’d never gotten around to adding rope hooks to my trailer- The trailer now HAS places to attach all manner of ropes, cords, ratchet tie downs and other stuff. It also worked quite well hauling a refrigerator. It was the unloading and conveying into the house that became problematic. 1st of all it would not go though the back pedestrian gate, 2nd I should have remembered that from previous refrigerator experiences, 3rd of two hand trucks BOTH had tire issues, 4th as I was trying to cut some ramps I blew a fuse in a sub panel. Ok, OK the compressor was running (related to helping the tire issues) and I was trying to cut a 45 degree angle in a 2x8 for ramps from the trailer to the ground and got the blade bound and flew a fuse. (more on that later) I really don’t want to have relive it all again. I’ll try to cut to the chase. I got the sucker into the middle of the living room where it shall remain till I get home from an eye exam (early AM tomorrow) AND can see. THEN I shall empty the old one and move the newer one into place and fill it. Well, NOT fill it I haven’t grocery shopped lately but transfer the food. Oh Yeah the fuses – Many years ago I put in a small 2 circuit sub panel. Perfect – one for the patio/courtyard lights and another circuit for the shop. Right On ! Good plan – Except I can NEVER remember which is which so I usually just replace both. A trip to the Hardware store and new fuses- I was in NO mood to check which was which –

What have I learned from this experience –
I am too darned old and decrepit to manhandle refrigerators single handled – probably, not at ALL, probably never should have. Have I REALLY learned anything- I doubt it because I think I can recall coming to that same conclusion 50 years ago BUT refrigerators aren’t as heavy as they once were but then they don't last as long either.NOW if I’d just gone in and taken my shower before I settled in to write this . . . (chuckle)
