I guess the worst I can gripe about my big patio cleaning day yesterday and rolling fall down a concrete ramp is my back is sore and I’m really tired. Imagine that!
I went to Bill & Dawn’s today to ?help? Bill try to get the heater core out of his Lincoln. I don’t know how much real help I was but it’s become his Sat. job for a few weeks and believe me it’s a monster – terrible job. The entire dash is laying on the front seat, the cowl is on their patio and the passenger side firewall is coming apart now to get access to the bolts that hold the heater core to the inside of the firewall. No wonder they wanted so much money to replace a $40 part. To me that means I need to get some additional coolant additive (rust & corrosion inhibitor) in my Grand Marquis and even in the Scout. The Scout, I’ve changed the heater core in about 15 minutes but I’d just as soon not have to do it again. -
I really thought when I got home that I’d take a nap or at least lay down a while but I knew I’d go to sleep and probably wake up about time to go to bed. Nah- not a good plan.
In other exciting news … The patio & courtyard still looks OK but the Bougainvillea blooms are blowing in and there’s rain in the forecast. I may reevaluate that “looks OK” tomorrow.
I’d better stop complaining about the weather I’ve been watching the snow back in the Midwest. Although it does LOOK nice FROM inside or in pictures – I was never a real fan of it and my last real first hand experiences with it in Eastern IA were brutal.
