The News From Here

I really thought I’d be back at “The News From Here” before now. Well we all know I’ve been wrong at least once before.
Today was one of my better days in a while. I decided to cut Fountain Grass! I really didn’t expect to cut all FIVE clumps. The smaller 4 ‘clumps’ went well but there are FIVE of them. The fifth was over 4’ tall and about 7’ in diameter. They are all way too tough to cut with a week eater. The only thing that works well for me is a hedge trimmer making small shallow passes. It was a little unusual in that almost everyone who passed stopped to talk briefly and a couple not so briefly. They had to go around my yard tool hauler and two 90 gal. rolling dumpsters that filled a section of the sidewalk. Not a gripe or snide remark or anything less than cheerful was said and only one just nodded. That may be why/how I got them all. Both 90 gal. rolling dumpsters are full, packed, pressed down and compacted. Mentioned earlier that I thought I’d done “I counted 497 deep knee bends and 191 over extensions of upper body extremities in the process (just kidding - probably an underestimation Ha Ha)” I am glad to have it done and probably won’t need to do it again till fall but I REALLY don’t want to wait as long next time. Yeah Yeah Yeah I know you hear me say the same thing about laundry but sometimes it actually works out. Speaking of which – no I won’t even mention the mounting laundry but it isn’t monumental YET nor am I even considering tackling it in the morning. I’ll be glad to be mobile in the morning.
